Like every classic American business dream story, Goodwin Luxury Homes was launched from the garage of a small home by a small family. Zane started the company in Atlanta, GA, in early 2017, following three successful years of flipping houses, which eventually evolved into general contracting for investors. During this time, he flipped over 60 homes, tackling projects that ranged from “simple” full-gut renovations to second-story additions and new builds. This invaluable experience, seeing firsthand what 50 to 100 years of poor design, inferior materials, and craftsmanship can do to a home, shaped Zane’s vision for building homes the right way, using the best materials available. Refusing to compromise, Goodwin Luxury Homes was born.
Zane’s work expanded to include architecture, interior design, management, custom fabrication, and more, ensuring that every dream and aspiration of his clients was brought to life.
Seeking inspiration and new challenges, he moved his family of three across the country to the small yet vibrant town of Corona del Mar in Southern California. While the base camp changed, Goodwin Luxury Homes continues to operate in the Los Angeles metro area, down to San Diego, and in Atlanta, thanks to an exceptional team and processes developed over hard-fought years.
So, how does a guy from small-town North Georgia—whose father was a welder and whose mother took on every odd job to support any sport or activity her son wanted—end up designing and building globally recognized luxury homes in California and Georgia? That’s a great question. From these humble beginnings, Zane vowed to live life to the fullest. He was determined to do whatever it took to get his dream car, live at the beach, and experience the best life has to offer. This personal pursuit evolved into helping others achieve luxury living through bespoke, one-of-a-kind homes designed in concert with the most discerning clients.
